Ok, so I did rally the hire car along unmade mountain roads at 100 clicks, but when I took the hire car back they pointed out that I had a hubcap missing (almost certainly lost as I careered around the Old Mill Road).
At over $120 for a replacement I think I have figured out how budget hire companies make their money.
Anyhow, I really enjoyed my mini rally so It was worth the money – it takes me back to African roads and a little Citroen AX that I drove around The Gambia….
Lol! I did the same kind of “rally” in New Zealand, with a low budget car hire, and I end up almost stuck crossing a river full of nasty rocks, but the car was already in a bad shape, so I was lucky,no extra costs!! This remind me some good memories of crazy driving on dirt roads!
