I last came to Arambol 17 years ago when my daughter was in her mother’s tummy, I was getting some R&R before becoming a dad.

It has gone through a whole cycle of change since then, it seems like it became a beer swilling English and Israeli hangout for a good while, now it is in the hands of Russians, who keep themselves to themselves and who pose like glamour models on the beach in front of the setting sun, smile little at others and bargain harder than the Israeli people according to the locals.

The English have headed to South Goa for the more picturesque Palolem, but as the Buddhist’s say, Anica, every thing changes, arises and passes.

I came for the paragliding, but the wind was too high for flying all week, so I hung out with some more experienced pilots that gave some excellent advice for my future flying days, although I’m not sure of I’ll come back to Arambol again, there must be better places to soar than that.
